Class Descriptions

Beginner

This class for those brand new to Yoga. It is a great place to start. You will receive detailed clear instructions on alignment, posture at a moderate pace. In this class, your body will calmly begin to open up as your flexibility increases. Awareness is paid to posture and alignment. Stretch, tone and relax.

Yoga Stretch

This new class focusing on the positive stretching movement of the body in order to feel good all over. In this class we will target the hips, back and shoulders. We will use many props, options and modifications in this class which will fit everyone's individual needs.

YIN YOGA

This class is a meaningful experience into a more mindful and deeper practice.  

Yin, a slow-paced style of yoga with postures/poses that are held for longer periods of time usually 3 -5 minutes.  This practice is a chance to turn inward and nurture the calm, quiet the innate in our mind.   A practice in stillness, patience and non-reactivity.

The Yin practice can help the body restore range of motion, forces us to slow down, breathe deeper, helps to cultivate balance, revitalize the tissues of the body and become more resilient to stress.

As we enter a pose and become properly aligned, we hold these poses that gently lengthen the muscles and the fascia which helps break up adhesions. Applying mild stress “the edge” to joints and connective tissue can increase their range of motion.

This practice will help you become more aware of your body and helps prime your practice for a deeper meditation.

Vinyasa

This is a faster fun paced class. It is composed of a series of Warrior poses and sun salutations along with some inversions strung together to create heat and energy flow. The poses are linked together gracefully into semi-power sequences, resulting in a dance-like flow.

Moderate

This is a mid-level class between Gentle & Intermediate classes. There are lots of standing poses ~ working on strength and flow.

Slow Flow

This class slows down the pace of a regular vinyasa-style yoga class. Sun Salutations are performed slowly, with conscious awareness to detail. In this mindful yoga practice, you will release tightness and gain strength in a nurturing environment.

Hot 26

This class in taught in a room of 105 degrees. Each of the 26 poses are done one time. It is a dynamic system of postures that will allow you to safely push your body to its edge, and rest in stillness in between the postures. A strong practices that is beginner friendly.

 

Hip Opener

There are so many reasons to do hip opening poses: Supple hips can ease back pain, give you a more agile gait, and even improve circulation in your legs. The class is designed to open and soften the areas around the hips, to move your ball-and-socket hip joint through its full range of motion. When you do it regularly, you may see improvement in the rest of your practice.

Gentle

This class for those brand new to Yoga. It is a great place to start. You will receive detailed clear instructions on alignment, posture at a moderate pace. In this class, your body will calmly begin to open up as your flexibility increases. Awareness is paid to posture and alignment. Stretch, tone and relax.

Gentle Flow

 This class is designed to recharge and restore the body, mind and soul. Set to tranquil music, this intimate class will focus on body awareness and breath while exploring the meditative qualities of yoga. In this class you will practice relaxing into the deepest layers of the body to find a state of release, surrender and calm. Melt the day away with the simplicity and beauty of this gentle healing practice. All levels are welcomed and encouraged. 

Hot Hour

YIn Hip Opener

 This class we use slow long holds to create internal heat to facilate deep stretches. Our focus is to encourage the tight areas around and the hips themselves to release and create more space,

Karma Front Desk Help

Join our positive healing environment.

We offer free unlimited yoga to our Karma front desk help.  
Karma assistants are required to make a three month minimum commitment
of
four hours weekly at the front desk. 

 This qualifies them to take all yoga classes free.

 Workshops are not discounted.
